Frequently asked questions

If you cannot find the answer to your question below please call us on 01422 240700.

Are your activities suitable for my young children?

The age for package 2 is advisory, younger children can jump in a sledge with a sibling if they struggle on their own, they can also have a go with the slingshots and safe archery and will almost certainly love the activities and the chance to join in but will probably need adult assistance. The age limits in packages 3 and 4 are strict – for safety reasons.

Can I add more activities to a package?

Because of the way we have rebuilt the centre we have to run the activities as set out in the activity packages, we could add other activities i.e bumper balls, toboggan track, grass sledges etc to the end of the booking but only if they are not already booked by a group and unfortunately we won’t know that until the day and we can’t guarantee they will be available..

Can I book for less than 4 people?

Each group will have all the activities in their package to themselves so the cost for the slot is for up to 4 people. It is entirely up to you whether you enjoy the activities with fewer people or whether you invite other friends or family to share the cost.

Can I message you using social media?

Just to let you know, I can answer questions and queries here on Instagram but I can’t attach relevant info to an Instagram message so I can only send information or take bookings by messenger on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/AnotherWorldAdventureCentre or by email andrew@anotherworldadventurecentre.co.uk

Whats the difference between corporate events and mini corporate events?

The mini away days are shorter activities which are overseen by instructors rather than led by instructors, the corporate events are a bigger event with instructors being much more involved with the groups, the activities also are longer.

How do I book Octoberfest tickets?

No problem with   tickets the tickets are £15 pp, the easiest way to purchase them is by bank transfer (details are on the how to book info sheet attached). You can also call on 01422 240700 or 07377 536494 although we are not always able to answer the phones.

We will need a couple of details for the tickets – the date you want, a lead name and contact telephone number for the group, the number of tickets needed and an address where the tickets can be sent (these will be sent out a few weeks prior to the event).

Once the tickets have been paid for a confirmation will be sent by email or messenger.

Can you cater for vegans, vegetarians and provide gluten free and Halal options?

We can do a gluten free-

6 oz Bratwurst , 6 oz Frankfurter, 6 oz Cheese Frankfurter, 6 oz Krakauer Bacon Frankfurter, 6oz Steakburger & Applewood smoked cheese. We can also do gluten free bacon butties and but please note the gluten free bread rolls on all the above tend to be smaller than the regular bread rolls.

You also need to be aware that whilst we use a different prep table, different utensils and pans to cook the gluten free food but it is prepared in the same kitchen as all the other food.

Hi,

For halal options we have burgers / cheese burgers, double burgers / cheese burgers, hot dogs, Jumbo Frankfurters plus obviously all our vegetarian / vegan options.

Can you cater for school groups?

Our favorite group size is around 50 to 75 students per day, we like to make sure everyone is engaged and not having to wait or stand around during the activities. We would break down into 4 smaller groups of 12-18, the school would pre – choose 4 activities and each group would do 1 of the activities for approximately 1 hour after which we would have a short toilet, drink, water bottle filling break and then swap activities. We would break around mid day for lunch and then do the same in th afternoon so by the end of the day each group would have done all the activities.

We can accommodate groups of up to 100 in one day, we do have activities that we can do with up to 25 students per group but it does limit the number of activities available and there will be a certain amount of standing around.

What if the weather is bad on the day we booked?

We are an outdoor activity and as such crack on in all weathers, we do ask people to dress accordingly for the day, should the weather give us concern for the safety of the activities we will cancel the event and a different date or refund will be offered but otherwise we carry on.

Can you accommodate disabled guests?

Whilst most of our activities are accessible by wheelchair for viewing or taking part, it will depend on the type of disability as to whether the activity itself will be suitable for wheelchair users to take part in. We strongly recommend at least looking at the Facebook page for videos and photos but preferably making a pre-arranged visit to the centre to make sure the activities are suitable for all your group.

Our marquees and sitting areas are all wheelchair accessible but our log cabin has a step, at the moment we do not have disabled toilets, there are 2 steps to the toilets.

For videos and photos of the activities please look at our Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/AnotherWorldAdventureCentre

Can I buy vouchers?

We do have vouchers, they are in £5, £10 & £20 denominations, are valid for any option at any time (subject to availability) for 12 months from date of purchase. They can be purchased over the phone and paid for by card or bank transfer (bank details are attached), in both cases the vouchers will be posted out to you or to an address you request.

How flexible are your corporate days?

Our team building, and corporate days are completely bespoke.

We build the day around what you want to do and how many activities you fancy doing. Each activity is around 1  ½  long and can be done at any part of the day.

With larger groups i.e. 40  + we would usually recommend  2 , 3 or 4 activities – your group would split into the appropriate size group i.e. 2 activities would be 2 groups of 20, 3 activities would be 3 groups of approx. 13 and so on.

In between each activity we have a bit of a breather, drink and loo stop.

Our ethos as far as the activities goes is fun and camaraderie, safety always come first but we do like to have a laugh and enjoy each other’s company.

We have quite a large set up, our activities are set in their own areas which is all at our centre and in one of the most stunning settings. We have a large log cabin where we meet, have brews and socialize, it has a very welcoming log fire, coffee area and bar (we do need advance notice for the bar).

We have a kitchen area and marquee (heated if required) where we serve food from breakfast bacon butties, bbq lunches through to evening buffets. We can cater for most dietary requirements (we have separate cooking facilities for vegetarian and halal).

For more information visit or corporate page.
